Staff announcements and PSAs / Griffonage Closing Down - 3 month's notice
« Last post by grubby on September 14, 2021, 04:58:26 AM »
In case you missed it, here's a repost of the message I sent out a bit ago.

Hey y'all, Grubby here.

As you might all know, Griffonage has had multiple attempts at reboots and overhauls in an attempt to revitalise interest and activity to no avail. As I'm unemployed and living off a pension, I can't really justify running the website anymore, as it's not active.

I've paid off the last billing cycle for three months, so the website will be running until, hopefully, December 26th of 2021. I'm going to attempt to make some sort of archive or something at some point, but just in case, here's your warning now: Please back up anything you want to save, I can't guarantee it'll be accessible after this year.

For everyone who joined us here on griffonage, thank you for your time, characters and stories. If anyone needs to contact me, I'm still on discord at grubby#4279, let me know before hand who you were on here to avoid any confusion.

Wishing you all the best in the future,

Eventually, I regained my senses. There was obviously alot of activity going on. Very, very loud activity. But it eventually calmed down to an occasional whisper or two. I decided to look outside of my egg and noticed that I was in a structure of some kind. My vision was blurry, but I managed to notice some figures standing around me. I decided to look at my surroundings and found that the floor was very shiny. The walls had some sort of rectangle pattern on them. There was also a long shiny rectangle encircling the room. These guys really loved rectangles. I turned my attention to the figures who were now moving around the room. One was really tall, dressed in long black robes, and with a long pointy mask over his face. Something about him was familiar. I also noticed some kind of black canine, as well as what looked like a reptilian chicken with a very long tail. However, I soon felt that strange sensation again; luckily, the loss of consciousness was less intense.

I don't know how it happened. I'm not even sure what happened. I just remember a sudden realization that I was conscious. I was also pretty small compared to the strange thing I was confined in. Yet still almost cramped. My thing wasn't see-through, not at all. But I still had a slight awareness of the Outside. Hard to believe, I know. Yet it was that way, somehow. I still want to get my hands on the guy who thought it was wise to introduce me to such intense confusion at so young an age. Yet again, I shouldn't complain about sensing Outside, so I can forgive that oversight. I finally decided to focus on my surroundings. And then it was no longer Outside, that was not doing it justice. It was incredible. Wonder. It was Wonder. I believe I was on some strange temple-top, in a beautiful field of... something. It was unlike anything I had seen, mostly because it was the first thing I had seen. There were some strange spheres... everywhere. They had a luring quality to them. They had a bubble-like sheen to them, along with being colored. They were opaque, and had a quality almost like the inside of a sour gummi worm. The area itself had a kaleidoscopic color to it, but with what seemed like stars in the background. As well as asteroids, which seemed to float aimlessly. Suddenly, I had the feeling this place was extremely unstable. I also smelt burnt hair, which was slightly pleasant, kind of like how other burning things usually are, but that smell would likely get old. Pity. I became aware of some strange pulling sensation, accompanied by a strange head-feeling. I was stunned soon after. Predictable. I hadn't even hatched yet, my consciousness wasn't that strong.

so basically my character's info is on my toyhouse (Mortori is my main oc; my toyhouse should be on my profile) and I'm basically new to rp'ing and will probably need a few guide thingies. My character is meant to have multiple ooc forms for basically anything I want to use her for, as well as in-universe forms for... reasons. If anything about her needs more detail, let me know. I think I'll need a rundown of how to create a backstory for this form of her, as well as details for how to make this form of her most compatible with the site and everything. I'm pretty sure she's OP so I'll probably need to balance her. To start, Griffon-Tori will probably have a mixture of Air, Earth(mostly just the plant part), and Dark abilities, and I'll probably have her start from an egg.

I want you to fear me!
this wasn't the first nor would it be the last time she ended up here. she was just lucky that even in the patch of enemies, she was lucky enough to make some friends. well, maybe that was stretching it. she did not have friends. she had business partners. in what business, you may ask, but it was nothing honest. stealing. small things like bags of coins, or food. but she couldn't always pull this shit off so she managed to meet some people with her same interests. people who owed her favors. they watched shere khan and vader, her horse and dog, while she was locked up, and she was very glad to be getting the hell out. living in this cold ass place was not the life she had thought she'd have by now, but when life got tough, someone had to make due. and she sure as hell wasn't going to stay with her adoptive father. once outside of the dungeon, her eyes scanned the world, watching the snow fall from the sky, as her bones felt stiff. the moons must have been up, because she could have sworn she felt sick as a dog. it didn't always happen, but any full moon was enough to make her sick, and the yearly three was enough to knock her on her ass. she had to get home. and so, she started off, stopping by the market on the way, looking at each of the stalls. she had no money, but she was hungry. which meant, she needed to steal. she wished she could say she cared but plenty of these people were well off, and she was just someone who suffered.

//crappy start but someone can catch her stealing idc LMAO

newborn. that's what older leeches called him. with their pale cold skin, and their odd heartbeats they could stop at any moment, because them being alive and any appearance of it could be changed. despite all the magics in this world, vampires still seemed to be myths. they hid themselves well, in plain sight of others and oh he wish he'd known that. just weeks ago, he too was normal, and now he wasn't. now, he fed off blood. his alcohol tolerance had been higher. he supposed the only thing good about this curse, was the fact that he couldn't die from alcohol poisoning. he might have been young, way too young to get ahold of alcohol in the first place, but after living a life as an orphan, (though even that was questionable since he knew his parents weren't dead. they just left him. his entire family did) flynn learned how to steal to take care of himself, and drinking alcohol was his coping mechanism, though it wasn't a good one.

his gaze had gone crimson. he was so hungry. he wished this curse was not his. but he couldn't get rid of it. he tried. he tried for so long, but now he was finally succumbing to his hunger. had it not been for the red hood on his head, the teen would have been seen. he was trying to find something, anything to eat. anything he could eat that didn't make him sick. anything that wasn't blood. he stopped abruptly, and he guessed what happened next was his fault. he hadn't meant to, but his senses were way too overwhelmed. it was too much. all the scents, in preparation for the festival of the moons, were just too much for the newly turned vampire. so, he fell to the ground, a grunt leaving his tongue. he wasn't even mad about it. stuff like this happened so often, it was hilarious.

with a small laugh, flynn helped the other pick up his things, offering his hands out to give them back. yes, he was a thief but he didn't cause this accident for the purpose of stealing. hell, he didn't cause it at all. "oh, i'm so sorry! that was my fault! i wasn't paying any attention." as his hood fell off, his eyes reverted back to their natural golden color, a smile on his face, which he quickly adjusted to hide his teeth. he didn't know how to hide them. it wasn't like the guy that did this to him was exactly keen on helping him, either. worst part was, even after the one night stand, and the hell that followed with becoming a vampire, he never got to steal from him. what a bummer.

In a land surrounded by towering cliffs of stone, Brendan has never pondered if danger lurks out there—who would be able to get into Astera to do harm, anyways? The mountains bow to no one, regal despite centuries of wear and tear. The citizens are even more so: not once has the prince heard of a...disturbance, one may call it.

Oh, how foolish he is.

Flipping the ragged hood over his head, Brendan tiptoes through the town, eyes whipping back and forth. Civilians remain unaware of his presence; they all chatter amongst themselves, paying the local shopkeepers their dues and going about their days. Tugging on his brown cloak, Brendan straightens himself. This is the first time in what feels like decades he has step foot on the castle and, better yet, on his own!

He sucks in a deep breath, his brain wandering. His guards are possibly freaking out right about now. Maybe one knocked on his door, textbook in hand for even more studies, but with no answer will they creak open the door to reveal an empty office. Horses may be saddled right about now, for all he knows.

But no matter. The prince has heard rumors of a farmer selling special grains of chicken feed, much against the staff's beliefs; if sneaking out of the castle means getting his chicken's the best food, then so be it. Carefully, he rips his eyes off the road ahead, dragging the pouch out of his pocket, and—

With a loud thud!, his rear lands into a bank of snow, snowflakes fluttering everywhere as the pouch spills open and leaks out gold shillings. Not noticing the person he bumped into, Brendan scrambles to gather his stuff, his face burning as red as a tomato.

( this isn't that great but hey it's smth
feel free to have your character be the one he bumped into )
