OSLESAIPIA
aaa
INTRO
As your eyes blink open, sun shining brightly in your face, you wince as your body feels heavy and weak. Your memory feels hazy, yet you know you are no longer home. When you gain your bearings, you see someone ahead, squinting yours eyes to try and focus them, the person waving before appearing in front of you, helping you on your feet. "Welcome, traveler, to Oslesipia!" They gesture to the beautifully vast landscape, which despite the devastation of the raging war, seemed peaceful. Like a place to call home.

These rules are a very important part of this roleplay. If you do not read these rules, or break them, this will result in warnings. Too many warnings will lead to you being banned from this roleplay section.

Out Of Character.
I. Follow all Griffonage rules. Lack of this can result in being banned from this roleplay section, or site as a whole.

In Character.
I. This depends on which territory of Oslesipia you live in, but here are some general laws that are mutual between Wedor and Astera.
II. Murder is strictly forbidden. Someone convicted of murder can be tortured, imprisoned, or put to death.
III. Every Crime has consequences. Depending on which kingdom, one may be put to death simply for stealing a loaf of bread.
IV. All children without parents, or any other family must go to orphanages and wait to be adopted
V. Panhandling is Illegal and is punishable by death.
VI. Harm done to pets, elderly, or children can result in life in a dungeon or death.

OSLESAIPIA'S GUIDE TO CREATURES
aaa
NON-PLAYABLE
- Dryads
• A nymph, fairy-like creature with the body made from wood, usually from an oak tree. they have a very deep connection to the forests. they can be dangerous but tend to not bother anyone unless they are hurting their forest.
- Griffins
  • A hybrid of a bird, typically an eagle, and a lion. it brandishes the head of the bird, body of a lion, and wings with the corresponding avian. seen as regal, and brave. they tend to be alone, other than the companionship of their mate, as they pair for life.
- Chimera
  • A hybrid with the body of a lion, including a lion head, with the addition of a goat head on it's shoulder, and a snake as it's tail.
- Dragons
  • Large serpent like creatures with wings. very powerful, and brandishing elemental like power, such as fire breath, ice power.
- Pegasus
  • Winged horse. they can be seen in herds or by their lonesome. While it has been rumored that wealthy people can afford them, no records of anyone being able to tame these wild equine.
- Unicorn
  • A horse with a horn in the middle of its head. Rumors state that they are very magical, but they are very rarely seen and it's hard to tell.
- treant
  • A monolithic, great tree come to life and anthropomorphised, bound to the woods it grew from, a protector and guardian of the forest and lesser creatures.
-  Phoenix
  • a flame covered bird, that is reborn from the ashes of its predecessors. It is said to be a symbol of resurrection.

- Fairies
• Many varieties including pixies, elves etc. wings must be hidden most of the time but ears cannot be glamorized and so most fae wear hats or have longer hair to cover their ears. Generally have powers that have to do with elements, or emotions, or animal related.
- Trolls
  • Generally paired with things of nature like mountain trolls, forest trolls, oceanic trolls, volcanic trolls. Very much glamored for human appearances, but they too have pointy ears, and sometimes a patch or two of skin that resembles what kind of troll they are. For example, a forest troll might have a tattoo of a leaf somewhere on their body, or whatever. Have powers that do with their respective nature.
- Aegyls
  • Human-like species regarding their appearance but they have wings. generally wings are hidden or glamorized. Aren't known to have powers that are specific to them, other than the ability to tame beasts and have companion animals that generally can't be tamed otherwise. They can have other magic, but it is unpredictable.
- Warlocks
  • Half human half demons. They are usually morally good, protecting humans and others while keeping their secrets well hidden. very powerful magic beings, with the abilities to create portals among other things. Immortal.
- Vampires
  • Undead beings of any species, except for werewolves and werecreatures. They survive off blood, and are super fast, strong and agile. It is possible that when being turned, they gain magic abilities. Immortal.
- werewolves
  • Very powerful wolf creatures. They are much like normal wolves except bigger, stronger, and faster. They can stand at a minimum of 6 feet at the shoulder when full grown, and some can be taller. When in human, or other species, form they have extremely heightened senses, agility and amazing athletic ability. They have accelerated healing, mainly run in packs and have in-pack telepathy for sake of communication.
- Werecreatures
  • Unlike werewolves, werecreatures are generally rare. Can come in any other animal, mainly animals that are carnivorous, such as cats. one cannot be turned into a werecreature, and generally they are randomly generated. For example, two people, normal humans, can have a child and this child may end up as a were-creature of some sort due to a gene mutation having to do with the moon and the sun. They have the same abilities as a werewolf, but usually aren't tied to a pack.
- Satyr
  • A class of gods that are typically drunken and lustful. There tends to be more males than anything. They are depicted as half man, half goat, with goat ears, horns, and lower half of their body, with a human-like face and torso.
- Merfolk
  • Humanoid creatures that live underwater. While they can breathe air, most tend to never go on mainlands. While in water, they have long fish like tails, with human upper bodies. All merfolk have water elemental powers.
- Banshee
  • Beautiful beings, typically, that have amazing singing voices. They lure the sex to which they are attracted to, to their deaths.
- Ghosts
  • In the most simplistic way of explaining it, a ghost is a restless spirit. they can be physical, walk through walls, and become invisible
- Imps
  • Small, generally mischievous and trouble making demons. They can teleport, in very short bursts and cause a lot of trouble anywhere they go.
- Nymphs
  • Beautiful spirits of nature, generally inhabiting places like rivers, forests, etc. Generally have elemental powers.
- Sirens
  • Much like a banshee, they have beautiful singing voices but they are more like grotesque versions of merfolk. Can appear as beautiful men or women, but their true form is less than pleasant to look at.
- Succubus
  •  A succubus is a female, soul/life force draining demon who typically feeds off of one emotion. In most depictions, it is ecstasy or lust, but it can be other things. Their appetite can only be sedated by their soulmate, who’s emotions calm it’s overactive urges.
- Incubus
  • male version of a succubus. everything that applies to them applies to incubus
- Demigods
  •  Part god, part human. Demigods are typically raised as humans and many don’t know of their god parents until their powers begin to manifest around the age of 13. All demigods are immortal, but can still be hurt and killed, just not by age. They stop aging around their 20s.
- Djinn
  • Djinn are magically beings that can cast any and all wishes, other than a few due to the laws of magic that they are bound to. They can only cast wishes of their owners, and are bound to that for a specific amount of time, instead of wishes. For example, one genie may be bound to someone for a year while another can be bound for a month. In this time, they have to grant as many wishes as their master asks, however, genies are very much known for their trickster nature, and it is known that they have to be very specific or a genie can get the upper hand.
- Hybrid
 • Hybrids are a mix of species. There are many different kinds, such as elf and succubus but there can be a hybrid of any type of magic creature, even some hybrids of non-playable and playable. Must be approved by Scar.
aaa
PLAYABLE

aaa
MUTATIONS
Mutations cause humans or other species to become one, due to bite or scratch.
- Vampire mutation
  • Vampires. can be turned by bite. Very painful and it is not  guaranteed that one can survive.
- Werewolf mutation
  • One of any playable species, besides vampires, can become a werewolf if infected by bite or scratch, assuming the bite or scratch is not lethal. The curse can only be broken within 24 hours of the initial bite, or scratch, otherwise it is permanent. Werewolves don't have any known features, other than perhaps a marking/tattoo from their pack, and or maybe overall younger appearance or sharper eyes and teeth. They are also affected in their shifts, only not having full control during the full moon and times of extreme emotion.
• Can also be born as a werewolf.
- Zombie mutation
  • The zombie mutation is not one that turns people into mindless wrecks. No. They have to feed on brains, that's inevitable, but they keep all of their memories and senses intact. The only time they become feral is when they go a certain amount of  days without feeding, and going longer than 3 weeks can make them turn into a completely feral zombie. The maximum amount of days they can go without brains is about 3 days, before they begin feeling more agitated and irritable, after about the 4th day, they become in a temporary feral state until they feed again. Completely feral zombies are rare and are often killed fast due to their lack of intelligence.
- Dragon shifters
 • Dragon mutation is one of the rarest mutations out there. One can only be turned by the bite of a rabid dragon, the dragon soon dying after. This leaves the mortal, now immortal, and with dragon-like features such as pointed ears, dragonic eyes, horns, tail, and other small things like possibly scales or longer hair depending on the type of dragon they are. Their dragonic features are only visible in times of great stress, or when the shifter allows it. they can shift into a full on dragon, and back to normal human form at will, only uncontrolled during a full moon or times of extreme emotion overload.

OSLESAIPIA'S WAR
aaa
HISTORY
The Initial war started about 700 years ago and it's been going on for a while. It has taken an economic toll on both kingdoms but they just won't stop. It was started by Astera, who sought to stop how Wedor began treating people with magic. This was the result of Wedor noticing how Astera was using magic for gain and higher intelligence and Wedor quickly became very jealous of them, resulting in captures and the forced use of magic people and magic users to advance their technology. Wedor, consumed by their own greed, stole a very important gem/artifact from Astera. Because of the lack of knowledge they had when it came to this artifact, they used it incorrectly, thus the royal family was cursed, everyone at that time being stripped of any magic capabilities, the rest of the royal family bloodline, to their knowledge, becoming cursed. This caused a hatred for magic by the Kingdom of Wedor.

It wasn't until about 150 years ago that a treaty was signed, trying to calm the effects of the war. Peace was short lived, and just in 70 quick years, the treaty was broken. The truth about how this came to be is lost in history, and both sides blame each other for the war restarting, this time more brutal than the last. Both sides are desperate for control over all lands within Oslesaipia, causing more damage than the Kingdoms care to realize.

No one alive remembers what the kingdoms were like before war, and most if not all memories of the peaceful time have been destroyed, or locked away in archives, never to be seen again. Now more than ever, the people of Oslesaipia want nothing more than peace.

CURRENT EVENTS
CURRENTLY there is not a big news coverage about just how bad the war between Astera and Wedor is. There are, however, rumors about the fact that refugees from Wedor have been seen hiding out in Astera. If caught, it is thought that they are tortured, and held in dungeons for Crimes Against the Crown.

Both kingdoms are on the look out for political spies, which have been getting information back and forth between the kingdoms, only furthering the timeframe of the war.
